Kathmandu: Bishnu Prasad Paudel, former finance minister and vice president of CPN-UML, has won as a member of the House of Representatives from Rupandehi’s constituency number 2.
Paudel was elected by defeating Ganesh Paudel, the candidate of Rastriya Swatantra Party, by a margin of 1300 votes.
According to the final vote results, Paudel won by getting 27,148 votes, while Ganesh Paudel, the candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, got 25,781 votes.
Similarly, Keshav Suryavanshi of the Rastriya Janamukti Party, supported by the ruling coalition, has secured 21,986 votes. Paudel was elected as MP from Rupandehi for the fifth time.
