Melbourne: England has won the title of ICC T20 World Cup 2022. England won the title by defeating Pakistan by 5 wickets in the final match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. England achieved the normal target of 138 runs given by Pakistan losing 5 wickets in 19 overs.
Jos Buttler scored 20 in England’s win. While Ben Stokes scored 52 runs, Harry Brook scored 20 runs and Moeen Ali scored 19 runs. Haris Rauf took two wickets for Pakistan. Shaheen Afridi and Sadab Khan got one wicket each.
Earlier, Pakistan started batting after losing the toss and scored 137 runs losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. No player has scored a half-century for Pakistan.
While captain Babar Azam scored 32 runs, opener Mohammad Rizwan was dismissed for 15 runs. Shaan Masood scored 38 runs, Sadab Khan scored 20 runs. Others did not perform well. While England’s Sam Curran took three wickets, Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan had two wickets each.
